This summer...

This summer I was seventeen,
My heart so full of joy.
For I had my family and friends with me,
And of course, my lover boy.

We'd go to the falls, and out on dates,
He'd always hold my hand.
We went to games, and sat right down
To listen to the marching band.

He spoiled me so during this warm time,
He always kept me smile.
He really made this summer special,
As we drove so many miles.

I also spent time with my friends
My family as well, it's true.
I just wish the summer didn't end...
But it never does, when I'm with you.
